Last friday, in lieu of a growing Provo tradition, Winter Haven residents participated in Critical Mass. Though our numbers were few, we added to the fleet of about 75 riders that toured downtown Provo on bicycle. The ride began at the Provo Courthouse and wound it's way through several downtown streets to end at the Veteran's Memorial Park near Seven Peaks.
Critical Mass is a world-wide event typically held on the last friday of every month. The mission of Critical Mass is to help people become aware of alternative, emission free means of transportation. It's also fun to gather with hundreds of fellow bicyclists to ride around town. Some riders rigged speakers and amps to their bikes so that we can enjoy music while we celebrate one of the greatest inventions ever made.
